The Vision

The Vision for The Leicester Enterprise Club is to:
  • Establish Leicester Enterprise Club UK as a HUB that encourages a more enterprising culture in the community.
  • Provide business support, mentoring and signposting for new and existing entrepreneurs.
  • Develop partnerships with relevant agencies (Mainstream i.e. Job Centre Plus, Commercial Projects i.e. ACORN Training, VCOs i.e. the African Caribbean Citizens Forum, Peers i.e. Leicester For Business).
  • Where possible, provide "practical" low cost / free, high quality support as this is a critical area for many small businesses.
  • Help create and foster a new generation of entrepreneurs within the community.

Business Support and Mentoring

In May of 2011 the Leicester Enterprise Club (TLEC) UK was incorporated as a Community Interest Company (CIC). The format for TLEC UK was to run business support workshops. Since our incorporation our successes (outcomes) and achievements include:
  • We run weekly drop in workshops and Job clubs every friday at St Martins House
  • We have helped people get onto the New Enterprise Allowance scheme and other nationally funded initiatives
  • The service we deliver has been extended from 1 to 5 days per week.
  • We have locations in Leicester city centre.
  • We work in partnership with our peer organisations to ensure entrepreneurs receive the best and most appropriate help possible.
  • We deliver an outreach service to local communities from  different locations around the city and shire
  • We have worked with over 200 people from various backgrounds, supporting them to start their own business.
